Launched in January 2023, the Samsung Galaxy F04 caters to the budget-conscious user seeking a reliable and functional smartphone. While it might not boast the top-of-the-line specs, it offers a decent package for everyday tasks, making it a good choice for basic users.

Display and Design:

The F04 features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. While not the sharpest, it provides a comfortable viewing experience for daily activities like browsing the web, watching videos, and social media usage. The phone comes in a sleek and glossy design available in two color options: Opal Green and Jade Purple.

Performance and Storage:

Under the hood, the F04 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 processor, which is a mid-range chipset suitable for light to moderate tasks. It is paired with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, along with 64GB of internal storage. The 8GB RAM variant also comes with Samsung’s “RAM Plus” feature, which utilizes a portion of the storage space to virtually expand RAM, potentially improving multitasking performance. However, users who require extensive multitasking or heavy gaming might find the performance lacking.

Camera:

The rear of the F04 sports a triple camera system, consisting of a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. While the camera system might not compete with high-end phones, it can capture decent photos in good lighting conditions. For video recording, the F04 can capture footage at up to 1080p resolution. The front-facing camera is 5MP, suitable for basic video calls and selfies.

Battery Life:

One of the highlights of the F04 is its massive 5000mAh battery. This, coupled with the power-efficient processor, allows for extended usage on a single charge. Users can expect to get through a full day of moderate use without needing to reach for the charger. Additionally, the phone supports 15W fast charging, which can help top up the battery quickly when needed.

Software and Other Features:

The F04 runs on Android 12, offering a familiar and user-friendly experience. It includes some of Samsung’s One UI features, although it may not receive the same level of software updates as Samsung’s flagship models. In terms of connectivity, the F04 supports dual SIM functionality, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
